Pietrasanta is the ideal location in Tuscany, for
day trips to Pisa (30 km, 20 minutes by train), Florence (90
km, 90 minutes by train), Lucca (40 km, one hour by bus), 5 Terre
(50 km, one hour by train), Carrara (20 km, 30 minutes by train),
Camaiore (15 km, 30 minutes by bus), Viareggio (20 km, 12 minutes
by train).
You do not need a car to visit the surrounding artistic towns, as
Pietrasanta downtown has a train station and a bus station. In addition,
you can rent a bike and ride on a safe bike path from Pietrasanta downtown to Marina di Pietrasanta
(seaside), and from there towards Forte dei Marmi (North) and towards
Lido di Camaiore-Viareggio (South).
